RE: Ford Emergency Service

Another nice feature of the keypad is that you can program in a second "temporary" combination. You can then give that to friends riding/staying with you so they can access the bathroom, etc without needing the keys. It is very easy to program, and you can cancel it at any time.
Don't ever give out the factory programmed number. That one you can't change.
I bought mine online for $80 for my 2005 PW Excel TS. The internal battery is supposed to be good for 10 years.

RE: Post Your 'B' Sightings Here

Spotted on Stone Harbor Boulevard in Cape May Court House NJ over the 4th of July weekend...

Yes...Tim (tfrazie) was driving...or, rather, Tim was chatting it up with someone who was collecting money for the local Rescue Squad at the traffic light.

Lynne, that background sure doesn't look like New Jersey!

RE: So, how exactly does the shower/drainage work in a B?

On my '05 PW Excel, it looks like the shower and bathrooom sink drain into the black water tank, and only the kitchen sink drains into the grey water tank. am I missing seeing a crossover pipe or something, or is this common on other models, too?

RE: Pleasureway Excel Radio

Not sure on the 2008, but in my 2005 Excel the rear speakers only work with the DVD/CD player and TV. The front speakers only work with the vehicle radio.

RE: First (annual?) B Out West Social - Is over!

I'm jealous! My first trip to Moab was last March, when 170 of us unicyclists rode Slickrock trail and Pritchett Canyon. This photo was taken at the end of Pritchett Canyon, after about 7 miles of riding and climbing.
Enjoy the rally, and hopefully I'll get to meet everyone at some upcoming rallies, as my wife and I start travelling in our 2005 PW Excel.

RE: Winter trip to Florida and mishaps

Allstate does cover Class B's, but on a separate policy from your Automobile policy. I have mine through Paul Murray in Cherry Hill, NJ.

RE: recent Roadtrek factory tour report (long)

Great writeups on the factory tours. My wife and I try to tour any factory we can find while traveling. The chocolate factories and bakeries are my favorite. :)
I am concerned, however, why most folks need to put down another's vehicle to build up there own. I can understand having a favorite, and I'm really glad someone is really happy with their (choice of model here). I don't understand the need to knock the so-called competition, however. If you don't like the shower, you didn't spend enough time researching, so don't blame the vendor. Problems with the generator? I believe the same make and model is used in both the Roadtrek and the Pleasurway, so why is that a reflection on one model over the other?
Sorry abouth the rant, and thread highjack, I'm just tired of reading the Roadtrek vs PW or Chevy vs Ford putdowns in order to build up the writers' own choice. I'm really glad you love your choice of vehicle, but I start to wonder when you knock the competition to show how great you think your choice is.
Merry Christmas, everyone!

RE: All Wheel Drive Vans

I've driven a 4wd with locking diff all over the pines of NJ for years, and the only time I've used 4WD was to pull folks out that could not drive offroad, 4WD or not.
Ground clearance, the proper tires, and proper air pressure along with a locking diff will get you to a lot of places you thought you would need 4WD.
There are a lot of great articles on the web on offroading with 2WD; it's worth a search and reading before making a decision.
